Ethiopia Airlines

The Ethiopian Airlines Group is the largest and fastest-growing airline group in Africa. It operates a fleet of over 75 modern aircraft to more than 100 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, North America, and Africa.

Founded in 1945 with a fleet of five airplanes, today it owns one of the youngest fleets among African airlines.

The company has successfully expanded its international route network by adding new services to several cities including New York, London Heathrow, and Washington DC.

Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways is the flag carrier of Kenya. It operates domestic and regional scheduled services, as well as charter flights to destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.

Its main base is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi. The airline was established in 1977, following the dissolution of East African Airways Corporation (EAAC). It began services on 1 April 1978 with a flight from Nairobi to London Heathrow.

South African Airways

South African Airways, is a member of the Star Alliance network. The Star Alliance has 27 member airlines and together they carry over 853 million passengers per year to 1,282 airports in 195 countries on 6 continents. It was created in 1997 and its headquarters are located at One Star Alliance Center, Northfield Drive, in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont Illinois.

Turkish Aurlines

Turkish Airlines is the national carrier airline of Turkey. Turkish Airlines was founded in 1933 as a privately owned company and became part of the Turkish State on 11 January 1943. It is headquartered at the Turkish Airlines General Management Building on the grounds of Ataturk Airport in Ye?ilk?uyu, Bak?rk?y, Istanbul.

British Airways

British Airways is one of the largest airlines in the world. Over the past few years, it has been working to redefine its brand, making a concerted effort to have a more human voice and personality as well as emphasizing its high level of customer service. This is an airline that has recently taken on animal testing for beauty products such as toothpaste and shampoo, which means that all of their toiletries are cruelty-free.


RwandAir, the national carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, is a growing airline that focuses on Africa and strives to become a top 5 carrier in Africa in a few years. The company was established in October 2008, although its history started back in 1972 when it started as Air Rwanda. In 2010, RwandAir became an IATA member and by 2015 it became one of the biggest airlines in Africa.

Lufthansa Airways

Lufthansa was founded in 1953 and is one of the world’s largest airlines. It has its headquarters at Frankfurt Airport, Germany. Lufthansa employs more than 90,000 people and has 695 aircraft as of 2015. The company holds a major stake in Swiss International Air Lines.

Arik Air

Arik Air, Nigeria’s largest domestic airline which was initially established in 2003 as a private air carrier has been experiencing tough times and declining revenue over the last few years. In spite of this decline, Arik Air is still a highly profitable business with enormous potential.
